Completing my first Minhwa painting

I’ve finally done it. My first Minhwa painting ever.

It took many many hours to layer the colors and outline them and everything.

I’m very pleased with the outcome, mostly because it’s my first attempt. I usually have a pretty good beginner’s luck with artistic projects. This time was no different. I do see where I could have done differently, but that will be for another painting idea. I have so many ideas for Minhwa paintings. Quite far from traditional subjects. More western-influenced and modern subjects. I’m excited to try new ones. I hope I can get to the new ones. I usually end up only dreaming up the ideas and never getting to work on them, much less finish them. So I need to systemize a way for me to actually take the action. I will get to it. I will do it!

I’m very thankful to the teacher who has taught me even from how to hold the brush to make the base outlines. I’m very thankful for all the loved ones who supported me through this process and appreciated my work. I’m very thankful for Minhwa for making a special spot in my current life.

Thank you.

Let’s start another one!
